Situated on U.S. Hwy 45 in Elcho, our services go beyond the boundaries of just providing exceptional, custom solutions for all shoreline needs in Northern Wisconsin.
History
Back in the early, 1960’s Jack & Helen Dvorak took on entrepreneurship of becoming owners of Dvorak’s Resort, LLC located in Pelican Lake along US Highway 45. For decades, Jack & Helen provided seasonal cabins for rent for those wanting a getaway on beautiful Pelican Lake. Dvorak’s Resort has been passed down Dick & Lea Dvorak.
The Dvorak Legacy continues as Rick currently leads the operation with his wife, Renate Dvorak.
Being on Pelican Lake, Dick Dvorak learned much about fishing & boating. He, of course, learned much about installing, maintaining, and creating slip spaces for renters with boats. After officially taking over Dvorak’s Resort, LLC in the 1990s, Dick & Lea upgraded the business.
Dick, being a 3rd generation business owner (Dvorak’s Resort – Jack & Helen Dvorak, Dvorak Chevrolet – Dick Sr. & Laura) stepped into familiar territory. From re-modeling the rental cabins to updating utilities to advancing their processes, they also upgraded their docks to create a better user experience. It was in Pelican Lake that Dick & Lea truly enhanced the business of lake life.
Needing quality shoreline equipment for mooring boats, storing boats, and having a quality dock system are what led Dick down the path of this current journey. After Dvorak’s Docks, LLC officially formed, it eventually outgrew the space at Dvorak’s Resort in Pelican Lake where it originated. The operation for Dvorak’s Docks, LLC was re-located to downtown Elcho, where it currently is best recognized on US Hwy 45.
In 2021, Dick sold his business to his son, Rick Dvorak. Dick officially retired in 2021 but still comes by the office from time-time.
The Dvorak Legacy continues as Rick currently leads the operation with his wife, Renate Dvorak. From an early age, Rick gained his first experiences helping Dick install and maintain the docks at Dvorak’s Resort. Rick is now a 4th-generation business owner with the Dvorak name.
